WBL/WDB/WCM/WDC
  • Version 7 – Fixed an issue in Feed on Paddlewheel mode, where the volume of water calculated for Watermeter 2 could be incorrect. Improved the reliability of the Reset Log.
  • Version 6 – Fixes a bug where Water Meter 2 does not function, and fixes a bug where selecting a paddlewheel water meter does not set the input filter correctly.
  • Version 5 – Fixes problems with datalogs and allows all chemical feed mode limit timers to be disabled by entering a time limit of zero.
  • Version 4 – Fixes a bug where the Hand relay mode shuts off early when using Intermittent Sampling.
WBL410
  • Version 6 – Improves the reliability of the Reset Log.
Version 5 – Fixes problems with datalogs and allows all chemical feed mode limit timers to be disabled by entering a time limit of zero.
Version 4 – Fixes a bug where the Hand relay mode shuts off early when using Intermittent Sampling

WCT/WDT410
  • Version 5 – Replaced the use of the Bleed relay Time Limit in the Biocide Prebleed step, with a non-programmable 3 hour maximum prebleed time. Fixed an issue in Feed on Paddlewheel mode, where the volume of water calculated for Watermeter 2 could be incorrect. Improved the reliability of the Reset Log.
  • Version 4 – Fixes problems with datalogs. Relay 1 Hand operation now functions correctly when intermittent sampling is used. The pH/ORP control direction menu has been removed from the Bleed menu, ORP sensor calibration limits are now correct. The pH input accuracy has been improved, so after upgrading the software, the pH reading may shift. After upgrading, recalibrate the pH.
WECT/WEDT400
  • Version 4 – Improved the reliability of the Reset Log.
Version 3 – Added overlap between ranges allowing set points up to 1.5 times the top of the sensor range. Datalog problems fixed.
Version 2 – Added decimal point to K factor. Relay 1 Hand operation now accurate. Fixed bar graph. Calibration to zero not allowed.
WECT410
  • Version 4 – Replaced the use of the Bleed Relay Time Limit in the Biocide Prebleed step, with a non-programmable 3 hour maximum prebleed time. Improved the reliability of the Reset Log.
  • Version 3 – Added overlap between ranges allowing set points up to 1.5 times the top of the sensor range. Datalog problems fixed
  • Version 2 – Added decimal point to K factor. Relay 1 Hand operation now accurate. Fixed bar graph. Calibration to zero not allowed.
WDIS400
  • Version 3 – Increased the limits on sensor calibrations to 0.1 to 5 times the nominal slope. For Generic sensor types, the number of decimal places shown is now dependent upon the slope. Improved the reliability of the Reset Log.
  • Version 2 – Added capability to use any sensor with a mV output (Generic Sensor Support). Calibration range is now correct. Datalog problems fixed.
WEC/WDEC400
  • Version 5 – Scaling of the 4-20 mA output when using % for the units of measure is now possible. Improved the reliability of the Reset Log. The use of PPM as the units of measure is no longer allowed if the sensor range is 100 or 1000 mS/cm.
  • Version 4 – One point calibration after a Multi-Point Calibration is now possible.
  • Version 3 – Added Mulit-Point Calibration feature and removed the Probe Wash relay type.
  • Version 2 – Added overlap between ranges allowing set points up to 1.5 times the top of the sensor range. Calibration to zero in one point cal is not possible now. Datalog problems fixed. Temperature error now occurs at the correct value.
WPH/WDP400
  • Version 5 – Reduced the allowable Output Time Limit to 499 minutes 59 seconds.
  • Version 4 – Added an ORP probe error message if the mV input is outside of -1500 to +1500 mV. Increased the allowable Output Time Limit to 540 minutes. Reduced the number of times Enter must be pressed to select between Interlock A and Interlock A+B. Improved the reliability of the Reset Log.
  • Version 3 – ORP calibration range is now correct. Antimony electrode support has been added. Datalog problems fixed. Now able to turn off auto buffer recognition. The pH input accuracy has been improved, so after upgrading the software, the pH reading may shift. After upgrading, recalibrate the pH.
  • Version 2 – Fixes a problem with ATC detection.
WCU/WNI410/WNI411
  • Version 5 – Improved accuracy of the WNI411 pH temperature reading. Improved the reliability of the Reset Log.
  • Version 4 – Fixes problems with datalogs. The pH input accuracy has been improved, so after upgrading the software, the pH reading may shift. After upgrading, recalibrate the pH.
  • Version 3 – The 1 point pH calibration routine is now an offset instead of a buffer calibration.
  • Version 2 – Fixes a problem with the control output when using oz/gal as units, and increases the range of set points for microetch mode in the WCU.

Upgrading the software on your W400 controller is easy! All you need is a 32MB (or higher) USB flash drive. Click to download files:

  1. Click the appropriate download file above. A dialog box will open, asking if you want to save or open the file. Choose “Save As”.   In XP and Vista, save it to your desktop (this makes it easy to find). In Windows 7 or 8, the file is saved in your “Downloads” folder.
  2. In XP and Vista, double click the file on your desktop to unzip the file.  In Windows 7 or 8, go to your Downloads folder and extract the file (you will normally have to right click on the file and select “Extract All ”).  Drag the extracted upgrade file to your desktop.
  3. Plug in your USB flash drive. The drive window should open. If not, go to “My Computer”, and open it (should be “Removable Media” drive).
  4. Drag the file named s4xxV00x-00 upgrade.w400 to the USB drive. (Make sure that the Upgrade files are the only files on the drive.)
  5. Unplug the USB flash drive from the computer. Now you can upload it to your controller: Note: If you have the U option, the software upgrade will erase the datalog files. Before performing the upgrade, save your datalogs to the memory stick.

Upload the file to your W400 Controller:

  1. Plug the memory stick into the USB Host connection on the controller’s front panel.
  2. Scroll through the controller’s menu until you reach the “Upgrade” menu item.
  3. Press the Enter key to get to the “Start Upgrade” menu item.
  4. Press Enter again to begin the upgrade.
  5. The controller will display the progress of the file import process. If successful, the controller will display “Transfer Success” and the controller will automatically reboot. Note: If you have the U option, the software upgrade may create a new configuration file. If you have previously saved the configuration file, you should discard the old copy and export a new copy after performing the upgrade.
